Recently had my house roof underlayment replaced due to leaks and old age of the roof. Johnny from Protecta roofing provided a quote for removing and reinstalling solar panels, lift and relay of tiles, and replace existing underlayment with 2 layers of 40lb underlayment.

The estimate also included permit and inspection. The roof was repaired within the schedule. It looks like new.

Communication with Johnny was excellent. He was prompt and understood our requirements. He went above and beyond to complete the task.

Recently my 32year old roof developed a leak and I figured it was finally time to get it replaced. I shopped around and got quotes ranging from reasonable to outrageous. My neighbor recommended Protecta Roofing and Mario (the owner) quoted me a fantastic price. The team of guys showed up and got things done in 2 days (1 story house). The team was pleasant to work with, they were careful and left the site spotless. I no longer have to worry about rain and the house feels a bit cooler inside too. I had about 1300 sq.ft. of walkable, flat roofing for an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), aka a granny flat I'm building in my back yard. With the COVID disruption to the construction industry, I had a heck of a time even finding a roofer that was familiar with this single-ply PVC rolled roofing, or who would even give me a bid! I had procured the roofing material myself, so finding a roofer who also would bid the job "labor only" (or one who was even willing to work with an Owner Builder) was also a challenge. Mario with Protecta Roofing was VERY easy to work with and was very comfortable with these sorts of roofs as he normally does larger, commercial jobs (TPO, usually), but was happily willing to take on my smaller job.

I have had nothing but trouble with almost all phases of this job as nothing seemed to go as I was expecting. Mario gave me a narrow window of availability between his larger jobs, but when my roofing material got held up in a shipping snafu (what should have taken five days, took almost two weeks!), I thought I was going to lose him for two more months. Despite getting the run around from the shipping company about when my roofing was actually going to arrive, and stringing Mario along for over a week, he never got flustered, stayed in touch, and still carved out some time after he had to start his bigger job to be sure and come down and help me finish my job. He and his crew were all very nice and easy to work with, and Mario showed good attention to detail for my rather complicated install, which I appreciated.

I am very grateful for the extra time and consideration Mario and his crew showed me to help get this job completed to my satisfaction and for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

Protecta resurfaced my roof as well as replacing almost all the fascia boards and wood around the edges. On top of that, they installed custom gutter around the whole roof. Through it all, they were outstanding. Mario had the experience to summarize and do an acurate estimate on the first visit. Diego's communication through the process was exceptional.
